CARV CAMP
Every skier has a picture of their own turn. Most of the time that picture is wrong. You feel the edge — but the ski is still skidding. You feel early — but the pressure comes late. You feel balanced — but the data says otherwise.
This camp brings two things together. My eye and thirty years of coaching on one side. CARV on the other — the digital ski coach that measures every turn you make and puts a number on it. Together they show you exactly where your skiing is, and exactly what changes it.
No guessing. No vague feedback. You see the turn, you feel the turn, and you see the score move.
Four days. Every turn measured. A carving turn you can prove.
Why CARV
Video shows what your turn looks like. CARV shows what your turn actually does — edge angle, balance, timing, the quality of every single turn, scored over the whole run. Put the two together and there is nowhere left for a habit to hide.
The real value is the gap between feel and fact. In the first session we measure where you are. Over the four days we work on the two or three things that move your skiing most — and you watch the numbers follow. You leave with a baseline, a clear picture of your progress and a plan you can keep tracking for the rest of the season.
CARV sensors: provided for the camp / bring your own — if you have
Why March
March mornings give the best carving snow of the season — firm, compact, perfectly groomed. Exactly the surface where measured progress is clean and honest. We ski the high pistes early while the snow is at its best, and follow the sun and the snow through the day — from the Kitzsteinhorn glacier to the Schmittenhöhe above Zell am See.
One lift pass covers it all — the Ski ALPIN CARD.
The Technical Focus
We stay on groomed pistes throughout. Just the carving turn — measured, coached and measured again.
What we build across four days:
Baseline — where your skiing really is
Day one starts with a measured run. Your score, your edge angles, your balance and timing — compared with how it felt. This is the honest starting point for the week.
Edge angle and angulation
The foundation of the carved turn. Building edge angle progressively and safely, and seeing it rise in the data as the movement improves.
Balance and timing
When the pressure comes, where it goes and how early the new turn starts. The details you cannot feel yourself, made visible.
Speed and racing style turns
GS style arcs for pressure building and speed generation, SL style turns for quick edge changes. Not gate training — technique education, with the data showing what holds at speed.
The final measured run
The last day we repeat the baseline run on the same terrain. Same skier, same slope, four days later. The difference is the result of the camp.

Where We Stay
🏠 Your choice — Kaprun or Zell am See
Accommodation is free of choice and booked independently. Any hotel, guesthouse or apartment in Kaprun or Zell am See works well as a base, with an easy drive to all the ski areas. Evenings are your own — half board or a restaurant in town both work well. Book only after the camp is officially confirmed. I am happy to recommend places on request.

Who I Want at This Camp
Advanced and high-performance skiers who want proof, not opinions. You ski confidently on red and black terrain, you have the basic carving turn, and you want to know exactly what is holding it back — and see it change.
This camp also suits skiers who already use CARV and want a coach to turn their numbers into a clear plan.
Minimum requirements:
- Confident skiing on red and black slopes
- Basic carved turns on groomed terrain
- Ability to link short and long turns with control
- Genuine motivation to improve technically
Not sure if this is the right level? Send me one run on video. I will give you an honest answer within 24 hours.
Why This Camp. Why Me.
I hold the Austrian Staatlicher Level 4 and the Hungarian Level 4 — the highest coaching certifications in both systems. My qualifications have been formally recognised and converted by the Italian Maestro di Sci programme, IASI Ireland at Level 4 and PSIA USA at Level 3. Five national systems. One standard.
I have represented Austria and Hungary at three Interski Congresses — Cran-Montana 2003, St. Anton am Arlberg 2011, Pamporovo 2019 — and two IVSI Congresses in Lech-Zürs and Hakuba Japan, as a member of the Austrian Telemark Demo Team and the Interski Delegation. As a former examiner and coach at Snowsports Academy Austria I have assessed and certified ski instructors at the highest levels of the Austrian system.
Data does not replace a coach. It makes a good coach precise. This camp is where my coaching and CARV's measurement meet.
7 Places.
This is the only CARV camp of the season. It comes straight after the Dolomites week in Moena and closes the carving season in Austria.
When the spots are gone, registration closes.
Four days. Every turn measured. Seven skiers. One coach.
