SPRING SIGNATURE TECHNICAL CAMP

19–23 April 2027
5 Days Skiing · Max 7 Skiers · €1,150 per person
A Cold Candy Signature Camp with Geri
One technique. Every turn. The whole mountain.

Most skiers have a carving turn, a short turn and a mogul turn — three different movements that never quite connect. On the groomer it works. In the bumps it falls apart. On the steep pitch it turns into survival.

Good skiing is not three techniques. It is one. The same balance, the same edge, the same timing — adapted to the turn shape and the terrain in front of you. That is what this camp builds.

April on the Kitzsteinhorn is the perfect place for it. Firm, fast glacier pistes in the morning for the long and short turns. Soft spring snow later in the day for the moguls and the steeps. Five days to put everything together into one way of skiing.

I come to this camp straight from the Interski Congress 2027 in Vail, Colorado, where the ski teaching systems of the world meet every four years. What I see there comes back to this week.

Five days. One system. Your skiing, complete.

Why April on the Kitzsteinhorn

The Kitzsteinhorn is one of the few places in the Alps where April is still serious skiing. The glacier holds its winter snow while everything below is already spring. Wide groomed pistes at the top, steeper pitches, natural bumps and my own mogul training line — everything this camp needs on one mountain.

Spring conditions are the best teacher for an all-round technique. Firm snow in the morning shows whether the edge really holds. Softer snow later gives you time in the bumps and on the steeps — time to feel the movement instead of fighting the terrain.

And the light. Long days, strong sun, lunch outside with the Hohe Tauern all around.

My spring routine on the glacier

In April I follow the sun around the mountain. There is a piste at the top of the glacier that is perfect between nine and half past ten — hard, fast, and nobody on it. There is a slope where the moguls soften at exactly the moment we finish the morning session. And there is a terrace where lunch in the sun is better than anywhere else on the mountain.

I will not name them here. On the first morning you will understand why the order matters more than the names.

The Technical Focus

One technical framework, applied to every turn shape and every terrain.

What we build across five days:

The foundation — balance and edge

The movements that every good turn shares. Stance, balance over the outside ski, edge angle and pressure timing — built on firm morning pistes.

Long turns — carving at speed

The carved arc as a technical movement. Edge angle, angulation and speed, with GS style turns for arc management and pressure building.

Short turns — rhythm and control

Quick edge changes, a quiet upper body and speed control without skidding. The turn that connects the groomer to the steeps and the bumps.

Moguls — the same turn, new terrain

The Wedge–Edge concept and the Corridor method in my mogul line, in soft spring snow. Absorption and timing, without losing the technique you built on the piste.

The whole mountain

The final day we ski everything — groomers, steeps, natural bumps and, conditions permitting, spring off-piste — with one technique carrying you through all of it.

The Programme

On snow daily:

  • Morning coaching session — 09:00 to 11:45
  • Afternoon coaching session — 13:00 to 15:30
  • Real-time radio coaching throughout every run (Cardo system)
  • Individual video analysis every afternoon

Lunch: On the glacier, outside, in the sun.

Where We Stay

🏠 Your choice — Kaprun

Accommodation is free of choice and booked independently. Any hotel, guesthouse or apartment in Kaprun works well as a base, a short drive from the glacier. Evenings are your own — half board or a restaurant in town both work well. Book only after the camp is officially confirmed. I am happy to recommend places on request.

What Is Included

  • 5 full coaching days
  • Long turns, short turns, moguls and steeps in one programme, including my mogul line on the Kitzsteinhorn
  • Real-time radio coaching every session (Cardo system)
  • Daily individual video analysis
  • Maximum 7 skiers — individual attention every run

Not included in camp price: Accommodation, lift pass, meals, travel and insurance are organised independently.

Who I Want at This Camp

Advanced skiers who want their skiing to work everywhere — not just on the piste they know. You ski confidently on red and black terrain, you have a basic carving turn, and you know that the bumps and the steeps are where your technique still breaks down.

You want one clear technical system and five days in spring conditions to make it yours.

Minimum requirements:

  • Confident skiing on red and black slopes
  • Basic carved turns on groomed terrain
  • Controlled short turns on steeper terrain
  • Genuine motivation to improve technically

Not sure if this is the right level? Send me one run on video. I will give you an honest answer within 24 hours.

Why This Camp. Why Me.

I hold the Austrian Staatlicher Level 4 and the Hungarian Level 4 — the highest coaching certifications in both systems. My qualifications have been formally recognised and converted by the Italian Maestro di Sci programme, IASI Ireland at Level 4 and PSIA USA at Level 3. Five national systems. One standard.

I have represented Austria and Hungary at three Interski Congresses — Cran-Montana 2003, St. Anton am Arlberg 2011, Pamporovo 2019 — and two IVSI Congresses in Lech-Zürs and Hakuba Japan, as a member of the Austrian Telemark Demo Team and the Interski Delegation. As a former examiner and coach at Snowsports Academy Austria I have assessed and certified ski instructors at the highest levels of the Austrian system.

This is my signature camp. Everything I coach across the season — carving, short turns, moguls — brought together into one technique, in the best spring conditions of the year.

7 Places.

This is the Signature Technical Camp of the season, and it closes my spring in Austria with everything I teach in one week.

When the spots are gone, registration closes.

April. The glacier. One technique. Seven skiers. One coach.
